So I have been trying to process a members credit card for monthly dues and it keeps getting declined. I called the member and he insisted the card was good. He called his bank and was told the sale was declined because it was tobacco related and an internet sale.
After appealing to logic and sanity that it was dues and not a tobacco sale, and that we don't even sell tobacco products, he gave up and is dropping off a check.

I'm on the phone now with our cc processor to find out just how we are catagorized and to get it changed to social club, or something like that.
It never ends....
