I'm sure you've all seen the latest news regarding Atlantic City. To my knowledge, the only poker room in the city you can still smoke at is in Ballys' Park Place. This was as of July '07 - the last time I was down there. Speaking of smoking in AC, I can hardly imagine the Irish Pub without a few smoking patrons.

If anyone has any hot tips regarding where to smoke in AC please feel free to follow up.

One could only hope that our omnipotent Governor would spare the slot palors now opening in PA. One would also hope that if table games are eventually given the OK that would Does anyone have any information regarding this? My understanding of this is that our state currently has a premption clause that was ammended into legislation, protecting smoking in these locations.

    FYI- VERY SERIOUS INDEED

    Dear Cigar Lovers of Pennsylvania,

    Stop Pennsylvania Bill #246!

At this very moment in Harrisburg, there is feverish activity taking place to institute a strict smoking-ban throughout all of Pennsylvania.  As cigar smokers, we need to preserve our right to smoke!  Bill #246 is currently being pushed through the State Senate, and will come up for review shortly by the State House of Representatives.  If the legislature approves this bill, cigar smoking will effectively be banned statewide.  You need to contact your local State Representative immediately and help fight this madness!  I have reviewed the bill personally and I am shocked by how all encompassing it is.  There are hardly any exemptions.  If this bill gets passed into law as written, you will not be able to smoke anywhere and cigar smokers will be treated like criminals.  To ban smoking statewide would be an egregious infringement upon our personal freedom as taxpaying residents of Pennsylvania.  As cigar smokers, we must work together to combat this latest attempt at overreaching at the expense !
    of our rights as individuals.
At Holt's we are doing all we can by working directly with lobbyists and elected legislators, but we need your help too!  Please contact your State Senators and Representatives today to voice your great displeasure with Bill #246.  If we don't act swiftly, it could be too late!
Preserve your right to enjoy a cigar!

    Sincerely,

    Holt's Cigar Company

P.S. To find out who your representative is, go to www.pa.gov on the internet.
Under left column "Start Here", select - Contact Your Legislators.  Page opens and choose either PA Representatives or PA Senators.  Page opens for selection of Legislator to be made.
