This is a veritable go-to cigar for me.

In terms of construction, it's flawless. Since Rocky perfected his fermentation process for this maduro wrapper, it is has been consistently dark and oily, with the slightest bit of tooth giving it a rough and powerful appearance. It's hard to find a prominent vein in the smooth leaf. Although the cigar is heavy in the hand and well-packed, it’s free of soft spots, no matter how minor. Rarely do I deal with a tight draw or uneven burn.

Flavor-wise, it's spot on every time. Whenever I take one out of the box (I prefer the Toro size), I know exactly how the story will unfold. It's super smooth and well balanced. After the initial spice upfront, I notice a rich earthiness, riddled with hints of chocolate and toasted nuts on the aftertaste.

I will gladly choose this cigar over just about anything.

I enjoy Rovky's stuff to.  Although I don't smoke them that regularly, I always have a few sticks on hand..

Like you said, they are beautiful, heavy cigars that have excellent construction.  And they are well balanced with awesome flavors and a smooth body

Rocky Patel,man....what a star. His Vintage 1990 is by far one of my favorite go to cigars. This is a true Broadleaf of aging and great Honduran blending.

    SMOOTH and Flavorful.

    In a nutshell, YUMMMY

Yes, I prefer the Rocky Patel Vintage 1990 myself - definitely over the 1992.  Speaking of the 1990 and 1992 Vintage, has anyone heard news about the new Rocky Patel Fusion Maduro?
