Yesterday on the ride home I had a Indian Tobac Fire robusto. Pre- light was sweet and almost menthol. Kinda like chewing tobaco. It had a very dark wrapper, slightly veiny, but a nice light sheen to it. On the first draw it was chewing tobacco on the front, a little bite on the finish. This was an overdone maduro. Too much fermentation, prehaps to cover up for cheap filler. It was ok. The draw was pretty good. The burn was ok, but I wasn't too impressed with the flavour. It did not hold an ash at all. It fell pretty quickly. I wouldn't buy these again.

I am not a fan of the Indian Tabac, for that very reason.  If I wanted Red Man taste on my lips, them I will buy Red Man.  Too much juice for me!

My experience with Fire is exactly the same. The cigar tasted charred, like an overly done burger. I wasn't too pleased with it. The Corojo is a different story, and with age, it turns into a sweet, earthy smoke with a little meat on the bone.

In my opinion, IT's top maduro is the Super Fuerte, an excellent cigar that can be had at some great prices these days. It pairs wonderfully with a strong cup of coffee or double espresso.

I have another 3 cigars from Indian Tabac sitting in my humi. Now I am curious to see what the other offerings are like. I expected more from an RP product.

How much does Rocky have to do with that line now. Does he still control it?

Trust me, Rocky controls everything under his name, which includes his flagship brand Indian Tabac. The quality of Indian Tabac cigars has gone up significantly, now that Jesus Fuego and Nestor Plasencia are overseeing production.

Right now I have only one Indian Tabac cigar left in my humidor. I have been giving them out like crazy. I gave one to my brother in law for fathers day and he filled over it. I still haven't tried any but everyone I give them to really likes them. Now to go get some more off of CBid.
