I smoked one of these the other day and I have to say, what a killer smoke!  5 Vegas sure has come a long way from just a few short years, especially with the line extensions...

I smoked the Torpedo a little while back and I loved it.  Beautiful appearance with an easy draw.  Rich flavors and aroma right out of the starting gate.  Some spice developed on finish and through nose.  Long smooth finish with a lasting impression.  Excerllent construction and a flawless burn.  Well balanced and well rounded hitting all points of the palate, great smoke and I can't wait to smoke one of these bad boys again.

A great smoke! I can't wait to try the '06 blend, and am hoping La Aurora is making it again. They make some premo sticks, and the Limitada is a great bang for your buck from that factory.

I agree, I love La Aurora smokes... 100 Anos is great, but a little pricey, the 5 Vegas Limitada still captures that Aurora essence in a different way....

Great, it's barely the afternoon and my mouth is already drooling.......

I have smoked through a few boxes of the Vegas "A", and this is one cigar that benifits from a lower humidity.  I keep mine on the top shelf with about 63%.  Anyone else prefer this RH?

The 'A' sports a very dark Costa Rican Maduro wrapper. It's somewhat thick and relatively oily by nature. The thickness causes it to hold some excess moisture, while the oils add to the moisture, which can lead to a funny burn here and there. Like most of my maduros, I store the 'A' at about 65% to ensure an even and consistent burn.

I usually keep most of my cigars around 65%...I think tht is Ideal, and maybe even lower, right around you Capt, 63%.  Some of those thick wrappers can benefit from a lower RH to ensure the burn, like you guys said.  I find Caribe is the same for me, but Caribe's products seem to be so delicate anyway that it really makes it hard to take them anywhere...

The Limitada is a wonderful cigar. Great burn, nice flavour, changing throughout the smoke. Kinda complex. I think it is a great bang for your buck cigar.

I have not had anything from 5 Vegas that I did not like. They put out a really good cigar.

    How 'bout a Fresca?

I agree, a few years ago they weren't anything to even shake a stick at.  But now, it is a terrific line of smokes, from the Red to the A to the Limitada, I love'em all!

Capt, I agree with the lower humidity. I keep mine at about 63 to 64. The Limitada 05 is a great smoke, raw in appearance and power and pleasing every time. I have a few of the 06 but have yet to try them.
    Love those Padron's!!!

I agree with the lower humidity, especially on those thck wrapper leaves...even with delicate wrappers, I find that most cigars just draw better witha lower RH
